机智的监狱生活

　　秦万石（秦沛 饰）是美味园餐厅的老板，他自参加厨神比赛输给好友金一山（欧阳震华 饰），受不了失败的打击便销声匿迹了。餐厅由妻子圆圆（沈殿霞 饰）与女儿苏苏（关咏荷 饰）艰难经营，她们都相信万石会有归来的一天。
　　但苏苏的手艺不佳，所有客人都转去隔壁的皇室玫瑰餐厅。为了能继续保留美味园，圆圆只好把大部分股权出售，但没想到购买的是化名田味吉的金一山。蒙在鼓里的圆圆与苏苏看着味吉如何将美味园重新整顿，另一方面味吉还要教会苏苏应该懂得的烹饪方法，但苏苏对他十分不满意，更与他处处相对，两人成为了斗气冤家。更复杂的是一直喜欢一山的梁爽爽（宣萱 饰）误以为苏苏对一山有意思，三人开始纠缠……
　　皇室玫瑰餐厅的大厨乔柏高（古天乐 饰）多年来不断寻找厨神的踪迹就是为了与厨神一决高下，竟被记者夏津津（张可颐 饰）误以为柏高就是厨神，两人日久的相处令他们爱上了对方。
　　美味园的生意有了起色，但田味吉的身份也被拆穿，早已爱上田味吉的苏苏十分伤心。这时圆圆无意中遇上了秦万石，但他此时已经失忆……

　　故事发生在清朝末年，捉鬼大师张可以（楚原 饰）带着徒弟张北平（钱小豪 饰）和张南京（黎耀祥 饰）远赴香港，迫于生计，北平和南京去当了警察。频出的僵尸祸害人间，张北平请求师父张可以重出江湖为民除害，哪知道僵尸背后的黑手系香港首富屠万富（江毅 饰），张可以能够以其一己之力抵抗这强大的对手吗？
　　屠万富的女儿屠天丽（关宝慧 饰）痴痴爱恋着张北平，可北平喜欢的却是温婉贤淑的女鬼飘雪（郑秀文 饰）。最终，屠天丽选择为情自尽，化作厉鬼，誓要报复北平的薄情寡义。与此同时，北平亦结识了飘雪的姐姐飘红（郑秀文 饰），飘红喜欢上了正直勇敢的北平，不惜为他献出生命。

　　征战PTU一年后，李柏翘（陈键锋 饰）加入冲锋队，而钟立文（吴卓羲 饰）加入特别职务队。两人的行事风格迥异，柏翘接连高升，而立文则总为冲动埋单。台湾坐牢十年的江世孝（苗侨伟 饰）出狱，被进兴老大杜亦天接回香港，准备委以重任。但遭到Laughing哥（谢天华 饰）的不满，处处挑衅。期间，立文为了破获制毒工场，邂逅了盗版妹江悠悠（江若琳 饰），而后者刚好是江世孝失散多年的女儿。在大嫂程若芯（周海媚 饰）的撮合下，父女终于相认。而江世孝也投桃报李为程若芯找到了母亲花姐。花姐之女花若葆在Car1受到李Sir不留情面的责骂。幸好有柏翘劝慰才得以化解，两人暗生情愫。与此同时，立文与悠悠也是假戏真做，一个扮演小公主，一个扮幸运王子。正在此时，立文奉命作进兴卧底，投靠Laughing，后者游走在江世孝与程若芯之间，亦正亦邪……
