　　俊晖（郭富城 饰）父亲在他小时候就去世了，剩下母亲独自一人含辛茹苦将孩子们养大。如今俊晖终于大学毕业成了一名实习医生，一家人的苦日子眼看就要结束。然而此时俊晖母亲的养子长武出狱了，出狱后的他恶习不改，在家里对养母和兄弟姐妹们诸多刁难，更离谱的是他竟然要求俊晖将家里准备装修的钱给他以作贩毒的成本。俊晖的知心好友永泰（郑浩南 饰）原来是黑道中人，在女友和俊晖的相劝下刚刚开始重新做人。永泰在得知俊晖的难处后，决定帮助他解决这件事，于是约了长武出来倾谈。岂料两人一言不合，永泰在自卫时错手将长武杀死了，为了躲避追捕，永泰重新加入了黑帮，女友亦因此离他而去。

She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Rory Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else.
