　　安宰贤将在剧中饰演高喊“世界的中心是我"的李康宇一角，外貌出众的他是一个喜欢看别人眼色的拥有外貌执着症的男人，过去因为长得不好看被甩后就患上了对外貌的执着的洁癖症。
　　吴涟序在剧中饰演朱瑞妍，她因从小在花美男三兄弟中间长大，从而极度厌恶花美男，喜欢“不帅的男人”，一直主张外貌至上主义不合理的她，在遇到安宰贤后将会产生怎样的变化，备受关注。

　　一名生活在 23 世纪的男子在一座遥远的太空“灯塔”工作，该灯塔是充当着帮助过往船只的灯塔。

　　1938年6月，武汉会战爆发，抗战局势危急。军统特工谢庚杨自作主张，将长期秘密关押的中共特工孟庆凡“盗出”监狱并射杀江边，抛尸江中，顺水飘到日军阵地。
　　孟庆凡身上携带着一份谢庚杨伪造的假情报，使日本人相信苏联人将会出兵中国东北，进攻武汉的步伐被迫放缓。由于准备仓促，谢庚杨的计划出错，日本特工佐藤坚信这是中国人的阴谋。他亲自到武汉验证情报真伪。死里逃生的孟庆凡从日本人的拷问中，得知了这份计划会对中共造成伤害。他冒死逃离日军营地，返回武汉进行阻止。“谎言计划”被提交到国共高层面前。
　　为了武汉抗战，国共决定携手完成“谎言计划”。为了弥补计划瑕疵，八路军女播音员马小茴被安排与孟庆凡假扮夫妻，两人接受日本人的考验。
　　国共双方情报精英，与日本最精锐的特工人员，围绕着这份谎言计划，在武汉展开了一场搏斗。

　　故事讲述在一个威权体制（an authoritarian regime）逐渐瓦解的府邸（the palace）内，一年时间里发生的事情。
