　　Plot of the series:
　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. The events take place in 1779, when the queen has been on the throne for seventeen years and has reached the peak of her greatness. 　　张君宝（张卫健 饰）自小就被送到送往清风观跟随无尘和尚生活，一次机缘巧合之下，世外高人圣僧收了他为徒，他从圣僧那里习得了与自然万物沟通的本领。君宝随后偶遇了药王谷的弟子冰心，两人成了好友。冰心一直在追求自己的梦中情人——名剑山庄的二公子易天行（苏有朋 饰），但最后易天行却悔婚出走了。
　　当时著名抗金英雄岳飞遭奸相秦桧陷害，被当今皇上用十二道金牌召回。各路武林豪杰看不过眼，相约在黑风镇推举盟主共同前往营救岳飞，君宝也混在武林人士中间。随后，君宝和刁蛮女侠秦思容（李冰冰 饰）、新推举的武林盟主名剑山庄的大公子易继风一起对付前来搞局的西域蛇魔放出的大蛇，正当情况危机之时，易天行出现救了三人一命。
　　随后，奸臣张启礁派人在路上假扮金兵欲杀害岳飞，岳飞背后中箭，危急关头，君宝及时出现解救了岳飞。岳飞在被禁军押回朝廷前，将一包东西交给了君宝，请他转交给飞龙将军。正是这包东西，江湖中人和奸相秦桧都想得之而后快，于是君宝成了众矢之的！

　　第四季依然由Reece Shearsmith和Steve Pemberton两位怪才主演，依然是6集。
　　其中第一集叫"桑吉巴"，讲述的伦敦一家叫桑吉巴的酒店第9层的故事，游客、妓女等形形色色的人都聚集在这里，发生了阴差阳错的事...

　　大唐中宗景龙年间，两大名捕裴逸飞（吴镇宇）、淳于子鸿（戴志伟）及神医宋轩（甘国卫）本乃好友，三人同时爱上酒馆女主人麦菊儿（梁佩玲），而菊儿独钟情于逸飞，宋轩知难而退，与寡妇慕兰（张凤妮）展开另一段恋情。但子鸿却不忿，加上事业有所不及，为击败逸飞，而误入魔道。女线人上官晶晶（林其欣）暗恋逸飞，惜襄王无梦，晶晶失意之余，机缘巧合之下与微服出游的李隆基（杨得时）结识。韦后（李丽丽）夺权，毒杀皇帝，把持朝政，子鸿助纣为虐，隆基则得晶晶、逸飞及胡姬（郑艳丽）相助，与韦后对抗，连场明争暗斗，隆基终败韦后，力保大唐江山。子鸿失去靠山，转而加入金魔王（叶天行）之幽灵帮，继续对付逸飞，并杀死宋轩，逸飞悲痛欲绝，加上其妹裴凌（姚正菁）亦间接死于子鸿之手，逸飞誓杀子鸿报仇。此时，逸飞却查出菊儿竟是幽灵帮一份子，其真正身份是……
