　　故事背景设定在上世纪八十年代末的我国某沿海城市。叶瑾是一位单纯善良、向往浪漫的纺织女工，她的父亲是厂车间主任，一心想撮合女儿和徒弟苏永森的婚事，但叶瑾并不喜欢苏永森。厂里新来的技术科副科长司徒敏是个热情奔放、才华横溢的阳光青年。叶瑾对他一见钟情，两人很快坠入爱河，但意外怀孕却使整个故事发生了巨大的变化。
　　由于一场误会，叶瑾对司徒敏产生了怨恨，最终导致两人分开。在叶瑾最无助的时候，农村青年葛大年伸出援手，并在关键时刻献血救了叶瑾一命。因为感激和感动，叶瑾决定嫁给了葛大年，展开了新的生活。

　　“九一八”事变，国民党撤出华北，国民党高级军官金戈（王雷 饰）冒死回到东安城内，想要接走自己的母亲和新婚妻子柳文婷（张曦文 饰）。但日军已然进城，柳文婷被逼自尽，金戈被抓。地下工作者救出金戈，希望他能前往根据地，运用自己的军事知识与八路军共同抗日。然而金戈对八路军的作战能力持怀疑态度，他选择独自留在东安城附近杀鬼子。一次偶然的不打不相识，金戈遇到了敌后抗日游击队队长戴金花（王媛可 饰），与他们一起击退了鬼子。从最初的互相看不上眼，到一起浴血奋战，金戈从戴金花身上看到了真正的抗日精神。他们成为一支活跃在敌后的抗日武装，极大地牵制了龟井一郎（山崎敬一 饰）的军事力量。1945年，日军在各个战场上节节败退，龟井想要在东安城实施“死海”计划，全城百姓生命安危悬于一线，金戈与金花带领队员潜入东安城，最终成功制止了“死海”计划，共同迎来了抗日胜利的曙光。

　　天赋异禀的六扇门女捕快袁今夏（谭松韵 饰）因为一桩案件和性情狠辣的锦衣卫陆绎（任嘉伦 饰）结下梁子，今夏本以为此生与他再无交集，奈何冤家路窄。朝廷十万两修河款不翼而飞，今夏奉命协助陆绎一起下扬州查案，替朝廷找回丢失的官银。本是道不同不相为谋，却因惊天密案联手。两人从势同水火到刮目相看再到情难自已，命运的齿轮从此旋转在一起。然而事与愿违，今夏竟是当年夏言案的遗孤，背负家族血仇的她与陆绎之间横生了无法跨越的鸿沟。最后，两个有情人历经苦难，为救百姓、抗倭寇、锄奸佞，放下家族仇怨，联手对敌，冲破世俗枷锁，勇敢地走到了一起。

　　Stellar cast confirmed for major new Steven Moffat drama Inside Man, for BBC One and Netflix
　　David Tennant (Des; Staged; Doctor Who), Dolly Wells (The Pursuit Of Love; Dracula; Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Lydia West (It’s A Sin; Years And Years; Dracula) will lead the cast of a major new thriller from BAFTA and Emmy award-winning writer Steven Moffat (Dracula, Sherlock, Doctor Who), alongside Stanley Tucci (Feud; The King’s Man; Spotlight) in the title role of the Inside Man.
　　Produced by Hartswood Films for BBC One and Netflix, it will be directed by Paul McGuigan (Sherlock; Dracula; Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool).
　　The captivating four part mini-series follows a prisoner on death row in the US, a Vicar in a quiet English town, and a maths teacher trapped in a cellar, as they cross paths in the most unexpected way…

　　Inside Man is a 4x60 drama for BBC One and Netflix. It is created and written by Steven Moffat, directed by Paul McGuigan, with Alex Mercer as producer. Executive producers are Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films and Ben Irving for the BBC. Chris Sussman will oversee for Netflix. It was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, BBC Chief Content Officer, and Piers Wenger, Director of BBC Drama. BBC Studios are the international distributors and brokered the deal with Netflix.
　　The series will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and on Netflix outside of the UK and Ireland. Filming will take place later this year.
