　　解放前，黄土高原上的阎家寨以炮仗出名，这里制作的炮仗经销全国。阎家寨里居住着宋、阎两族人，两族人之间一直就摩擦不断，由于閻姓掌握着这里炮仗生意，所以在阎族人在这里还是稍占上风。这天，宋东升（陈豪 饰）因为和当地的寡妇互生情愫，准备逃走时被族人捉住，由这里的主事人阎家族长阎万熙（林保怡 饰）主持执行家法。东升看着情人被活活烧死，而他也被缠上长长的炮仗被执行“点天灯”。东升侥幸逃过一死，被赶出了阎家寨，勒令以后永远不准回来。情人的惨死在东升心里埋下了仇恨的种子，他决定有朝一日一定要再次回来为死去的情人复仇。
　　一晃两年过去了，时局发生了很大的动荡，阎家寨这个高原上的寨子似乎还保持着往日的平静。只是，东升回来了……

　　故事改编自黛博拉·哈克尼斯同名小说，背景设置在牛津，将围绕一个女巫家族传人与吸血鬼之间的爱情故事展开。

　　阿安（马浚伟 饰）父亲早逝，10多岁就到街坊金老板（郑则仕 饰）的金石记去当学徒学石碑雕刻，养家糊口。一晃数年过去，安boy早已成为出色的石雕师傅，金老板亦十分照顾他，当他亲生儿子一样看待。金老板的儿子阿Roy（曹永廉 饰）为人好高骛远，大学毕业进入了大公司任职。阿Roy善于经营，炒股赚了大钱，一时意气风发，但随后股市低迷反而亏了很多。街坊嘉嘉（钟嘉欣 饰）和男友G-man 经营的手机店为了赚钱进了一批假电池，阿安不知情买回来后假电爆炸去找他们理论反而遭到恶言相向。
　　随后嘉嘉看清男友G-man本质，和他分手了，并在阿安的鼓励重新开始自己的人生。而金老板决定退休，面对方旺记的高价收购，金老板思考再三决定还是将金石记便宜转让给阿安，为的就是要保住金石记这一块金漆招牌。阿安接手金石记后，生意更加红火，他的人生正在展开一段金石良缘。
