　　Plot of the series:
　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. The events take place in 1779, when the queen has been on the throne for seventeen years and has reached the peak of her greatness. Her fame spread not only to neighboring countries, but throughout Europe. Such a nickname as “Great” was assigned to her by the high society of Europe, thanks to the efforts of the influential Princess Dashkova, who was always devoted to Catherine II.
　　Upon returning from abroad, Catherine II is helped by the ruler’s main associate, Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova. Meanwhile, her husband mentioned in the series, Prince Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin, remaining in second place in the State, is no longer her favorite. New favorites appear one after another, but they are all under the close supervision of Potemkin. None of the new favorites can maintain their position for long. Catherine plays at love, exalting herself to the point that no man deserves her true love. However, the heart does not obey the mind.

　　清康熙年间，一场‘拳倾天下’武术大赛上，代表满人的鳌飞﹝郭政鸿﹞与代表汉人的谭天﹝元华﹞势均力敌，惜天于比赛时遭人陷害而惨败，其父气愤过度吐血而死，天成众矢之的，变得懦弱悲观。为完成父之心愿，天开办武馆寻找传人，先后收京城捕快马不平﹝魏骏杰﹞及孤儿罗喜﹝唐文龙﹞为徒。两人后来更与天之妹谭雪﹝吴文忻﹞展开一段微妙的三角关系。
　　飞一直对天有所顾忌，得知他已得传人，遂命令好友平暗杀天。平不忍下手，故意将事情张扬，引起了康熙的关注。飞见事败，对平多番加害，又揭发喜为满人之身份，使其黯然离开天。飞结识汉族女子朱震南﹝梁琤﹞，两人互生情愫，并发展一段地下情。南为飞不惜与父决裂，助其暗杀朝中敌人，惜事败被擒，飞为求自保，竟然痛下毒手....

　　许忠信（万梓良 饰）和洛素珊（林其欣 饰）原本过着平静的生活，但在面对九七问题时，忠信不得不独自前往澳洲。在异国他乡，他结识了大陆青年向东（吴镇宇 饰），两人在生疏环境中成为了亲密的朋友。然而，由于一些意外，向东被押回港，而忠信回港后发现妻子与前度男友复燃旧情，夫妻陷入感情危机。
　　与此同时，安靖和许忠诚因纠纷认识，但受感情阴影影响只能保持朋友关系。另一方面，向东为了谋取表姨妈谢西西的绿卡而欺骗她，搞笑情节不断发生。同时，侯世杰为了复仇，以为忠信主使，决心雪此辱。这一系列错综复杂的感情纠葛和喜剧元素共同构成了这个生动的故事。
